MiningThe Geological Museum owns an extremely rare collection of more than 200 year-old mining models. The models were purchased in Germany in 1797 and were used at the university for teaching technical and practical aspects of mining. Each model is a small piece of exquisite artwork of minutely painted papier mâché and wood, with little models of miners.
